As Dubbs pointed out, the lack of movement on these pages is partly due to my being on the road at the moment (although I didn’t contribute too heartily when I was at home either). At any rate, whilst conscious of not turning this fine literary institution into my own travel journal, I will endeavor to post a few words and pictures of the NOTR related goodness that I come across. Amp Fiddler plays the Corner in Jan, along with the mighty Mayer Hawthorne and everyone’s favourite mastering engineer Quantic.

This show is going to be very rad indeed.

I’ve been out of the loop for a couple of months i know, in fact, the whole NOTR crew has dropped off.

This is largely due to us all chasing that paper, trying to get that cheese, making stacks, and generally just hustling for dem dollar dollar bills y’all.

Dunn’s on his audio grind, Tubs has fucked off to Europe and parts unknown for some adventures, and i’ve been applying unsuccessfully for A&R gig at Warner Brothers Music. Still and all, this little corner of the internets has been sadly neglected of late, and we’re hoping to remedy that.

I’d be interested to see what people reckon, because one of the dramas we’ve had from day one is a lack of defined purpose – we were never out to be just about a single musical genre, or news, or even the nonsensical gibberish. We wanted to keep it open and pick and choose, which is tough considering there’s a bag of great blogs out there doing excellent work.

So, to put it simply, we’re not sure what we’re doing just now, but we are in the process of finding out.

This is by far the shittiest ad I have ever seen, for a product I have no intention of ever using, involving quite probably the four most horrendously awful actors, and some of the simplest minds in the advertising industry. Enjoy.

Reminds me a bit of watching those ‘big cat’ docos or something, with David Attenborough narrating.

There’s always a marked difference between the big cats, and the kinda scrawny, undernourished ones (homeboy with the aviators, i’m looking at you). Mos and Black Thought are two of the best to ever do it, and strangely, no matter how many cookies he eats, how lackluster his flow becomes, or how addicted to pharmaceuticals he may be, Em will remain a beast.
